Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan has reacted to the reported tension between actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, describing the situation as an unnecessary public spectacle.
The issue gained attention after a moment from the premiere of The Return of Arinzo, hosted by Iyabo Ojo in Lagos, went viral.
In the widely shared clip, Abraham was seen moving toward Akindele to greet her, but the latter appeared not to acknowledge the gesture. The incident quickly stirred reactions on social media and revived speculation about a possible rift between the two stars.
Speaking in an interview on Feel Right TV, Hassan—popularly known as Ogogo—questioned why such differences should be displayed publicly, especially considering their status in the film industry.
He noted that both actresses have achieved remarkable success and should not allow personal disagreements to overshadow their accomplishments.

According to him, their careers and contributions to Nollywood should remain the focus, rather than issues that could generate avoidable controversy.
Hassan added that although he typically avoids getting involved in matters concerning female colleagues, the situation was worrisome given their influence and visibility.
He advised both actresses to handle their differences with maturity and concentrate on protecting the legacies they have built over the years.
