Popular Nigerian gospel singer and Nollywood soundtrack artiste, Onos Nancy Brisibi, has died at the age of 55 after a prolonged illness.
Her family confirmed her passing in an official statement released on Thursday, stating that she died on March 23, 2026.
The family described her as a woman of deep faith whose life and music ministry touched many lives. They noted that her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her calling left a lasting impression on those who encountered her.
Brisibi was widely known for her contributions to gospel music and her work as a soundtrack artist in Nollywood, where her voice featured in numerous productions. Her music ministry, according to relatives, inspired and uplifted listeners across Nigeria and beyond.

Tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues and admirers within the entertainment industry. Actress Stella Damasus described the loss as painful, while broadcaster Emma Ugolee said the news was deeply saddening.
Born on November 20, 1970, in Delta State, Brisibi began her musical journey at an early age and rose to prominence as one of Nollywood’s respected gospel soundtrack voices.
She is remembered for her soulful voice, strong faith, and enduring contributions to Nigeria’s gospel music and film industries.
