The Nigeria Police Force in Rivers State has commenced screening for applicants seeking recruitment as police constables, which will take place from March 9 to April 18, 2026.
The exercise follows the approval granted by the Police Service Commission for the recruitment of 50,000 constables nationwide.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Grace Iringe-Koko, advised applicants to visit the official recruitment portal to confirm their application status and print the necessary documents required for the screening.
According to the statement, applicants must present several documents at their designated screening centres on the date and time specified on their invitation slips.
Required documents include the Guarantors Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credential Screening Form and Physical Screening Form.

Candidates are also expected to bring the following items:
Invitation Slip showing their assigned screening table
Credential Screening Form
Original National Identification Number (NIN) printout or National ID card issued by the National Identity Management Commission
O’ Level certificate (GCE/SSCE)
Other required documents include a birth certificate or declaration of age, Local Government Area or state of origin certificate, and trade test certificates for specialist applicants.
Applicants must also submit a duly completed Guarantors Form accompanied by photocopies of referees’ valid identification and passport photographs.
All credentials are to be presented in both original and duplicate copies, neatly arranged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.
The command stated that the screening will take place at the Alfred Diete-Spiff Civic Centre located on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
Shortlisted candidates have also been instructed to appear at the venue dressed in white T-shirts, white shorts and white canvas shoes.
The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Olugbenga Adepoju, wished applicants success in the screening process.
He assured the public that the recruitment exercise would strictly adhere to the entry requirements outlined in the Police Act and related regulations.
Adepoju also urged candidates to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and avoid any behaviour that could disrupt the exercise.
