The United States Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, has issued a strong warning to individuals and groups threatening American citizens, declaring that the U.S. would respond decisively anywhere in the world.
Hegseth made the statement during a press conference at the The Pentagon, attended by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine.
“If you threaten Americans anywhere in the world, we will hunt you down and kill you,” Hegseth said, underscoring what he described as the administration’s uncompromising stance on national security.
He credited the 47th U.S. President, Donald Trump, with drawing a firm line against adversaries and reaffirming that the protection of American lives remains non-negotiable.

According to the secretary, the current administration is determined to prevent hostile regimes from acquiring nuclear weapons and from targeting U.S. bases, personnel, allies, and global shipping routes.
He specifically referenced tensions with Iran, accusing its leadership of pursuing nuclear capabilities while expanding its ballistic missile and drone programs.
Hegseth also criticised prior diplomatic agreements under former President Barack Obama, arguing that they failed to permanently halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
The remarks come amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, as Washington reiterates its commitment to deterring threats and safeguarding American interests globally.
