Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins has clarrified rumors surrounding her date with a dispatch rider that gained attention online stating that she just helped him.
The situation escalated when she shared screenshots of their conversations, where the rider expressed his feelings for her, and later implied that her rejection resulted in him losing his job.
This led to widespread speculation on social media, with many believing that Sarah had been unkind or unsympathetic.
In response to the online discussions, she took him out for a date that included shopping and a lavish lunch, but emphasized that this was simply an act of kindness and not a romantic involvement.
She stated, “Let it be clear that I did not agree to date a dispatch rider! I only extended my hand in kindness to remind him that he deserves love, regardless of his current situation.
” I don’t date below my standards, and I won’t change a man to fit them, absolutely not. I am a principled woman who values respect, submission, and loyalty, which a man can only earn when he is a provider.
