Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Saturday convened a high-level meeting with state and local government executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to discuss his next political direction in Adamawa State.
The gathering, organized at the governor’s initiative, was aimed at engaging party leaders on the evolving political landscape and seeking their perspectives on forthcoming developments.
The briefing, confirmed in a statement released by PSA Electronic Media on behalf of the governor’s spokesman, Sharif Alhasan, brought together key figures including the PDP state Chairman, Hamza Madagali, as well as the 21 local government party chairmen.
Party leaders expressed alignment with the governor’s vision, pledging loyalty and readiness to support his political direction.
In addition, stakeholders from Madagali Local Government Area held a separate session with the governor at the Government House.
Describing Madagali as his primary constituency, Gov. Fintiri said it was important to formally brief them on his next political moves, including the possibility of leaving the PDP due to internal challenges within the party.

According to attendees, the discussions were candid and strategic, focusing on party cohesion, local governance priorities, and the implications of potential realignments ahead of future elections.
Both the PDP executives and the Madagali stakeholders reportedly expressed commitment to support the governor in whichever political path he chooses to pursue.
At the conclusion of the meetings, participants resolved to align fully with Gov. Fintiri’s proposed political trajectory, signaling strong local backing as the state navigates possible party realignments and strategic repositioning.
This engagement underscores the governor’s proactive approach in managing political transitions and consolidating support among grassroots and party leadership before making any formal moves on his political future.
