The customized jersey, bearing the president’s name and number, was described as a token of appreciation for his administration’s commitment to the development of sports in Nigeria, particularly football.

Speaking during the brief ceremony, Dikko commended Tinubu for his encouragement of youth-focused initiatives and his administration’s renewed attention to sports as a tool for national unity, economic growth, and international recognition.

He noted that football remains one of the most powerful unifying forces in the country, bringing together millions of Nigerians across ethnic, religious, and social divides.

Dikko emphasized that the Super Eagles continue to serve as ambassadors of Nigeria on the global stage, carrying the hopes and aspirations of over 200 million citizens.

He added that sustained investment in infrastructure, grassroots development, and player welfare would further strengthen Nigeria’s standing in international competitions.
