The Adamawa State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on church leaders across the state to mobilize their members to obtain the Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and take an active role in the democratic process.
The directive was conveyed in a formal statement signed by the state CAN Chairman, Rev. Joel Manzo, who urged bloc leaders, bishops, denominational heads, pastors, and heads of Christian organizations to ensure strict compliance.
According to the statement, all eligible church members are expected to possess a valid PVC.
Those yet to obtain the document were advised to promptly register with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in accordance with the law.

In addition to voter registration, the association encouraged members to freely align with political parties of their choice, stressing that such decisions must be voluntary and devoid of coercion or bias toward any specific party.
CAN further urged members to fulfill all legal requirements necessary to vote during elections and, where qualified, to consider contesting elective positions.
Reaffirming its commitment to integrity in civic engagement, the association emphasized its dedication to fairness, credibility, and righteousness in electoral matters, noting that the church remains a moral voice for justice, accountability, and the strengthening of democratic values in society.
