The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Gidado Ibrahim and Halimat Adenike Tejusho before Justice H. Muazu at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, over an alleged N600 million job scam.
The two men were charged with an amended six-count indictment involving fraud, obtaining money under false pretenses, and forgery, totaling N603,400,000.00.
During the hearing, prosecution lawyer, Y. Tarfa outlined the revised charges and asked the defendants to enter their pleas.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to all six charges.

In response to his plea, Tarfa requested a trial date and asked for the defendant to be remanded in a correctional center.
Meanwhile, the defendants lawyer, B.B. Alhaji, informed the court about a bail application, stating that although it was not yet ready for consideration, the defendants should remain in EFCC custody due to health issues until the bail application could be addressed.
Justice Muazu postponed the case to February 17, 2026, for the bail application hearing and ordered the defendant to be held at Kuje Correctional Facility.
