Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to sustain infrastructural development across the state, describing it as a central pillar of his governance agenda.
The governor gave the assurance during a stop in Yola North Local Government Area as part of his ongoing tour of the state’s 21 local councils.
Fintiri, who was accompanied by his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, and other senior government officials, began the visit with the commissioning of the newly constructed Yola North Local Government Secretariat, a project executed under the leadership of the council chairman, Barrister Jibril Ibrahim Jimeta.
Following the commissioning, the governor proceeded to the Jimeta Football Stadium, where he was received by a large crowd of party supporters, community leaders, and stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Fintiri said the results of his administration’s policies and programmes were visible across different sectors of the state, noting that infrastructure development remains a top priority of his government.

He assured residents that his administration would continue to deliver people-oriented projects with transparency, fairness, and commitment, adding that no part of the state would be left behind in the development process.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Yola North Local Government Council, Barrister Jimeta, described the governor’s visit as significant, saying the area had witnessed unprecedented development under the current administration. Jimeta, who is also the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the forthcoming June 13 local government elections, said Yola North had not experienced such progress since its creation in 1996.
Also speaking, the lawmaker representing Yola North Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Suleiman Umar Alkali, alongside the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Ibrahim Yayaji Mijinyawa, and other stakeholders, praised the governor for his infrastructural achievements, particularly within Yola North.
They expressed optimism that the ongoing and completed projects would strengthen grassroots governance and significantly improve the quality of life of residents.
