The Acting Commander of Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) and Commander of 23 Brigade, Brigadier General Amechi Agwu, has reiterated the Nigerian Army’s commitment to safeguarding all law-abiding residents and humanitarian personnel within the sector’s area of responsibility.
Brigadier General Agwu made the assurance during a courtesy visit by the Head of Sub-Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mubi, Mr. Chadi Sidhom, to the 23 Brigade headquarters in Mubi on Wednesday.
He said the sector would continue to provide full cooperation and necessary support to the ICRC to enable it carry out its humanitarian activities effectively.
“Sector 4 OPHK places high premium on the security of United Nations-affiliated agencies, other non-governmental organizations, and all law-abiding residents operating within the area,” Brigadier General Agwu said.

He also urged the ICRC to maintain close collaboration with the military during its operations, stressing that the sector would sustain an enabling environment through continued security and cooperation.
Earlier, Mr. Sidhom praised the sector for its efforts in ensuring security for the people of Adamawa State and neighbouring areas.
He noted that the visit was intended to strengthen the cordial working relationship between ICRC Mubi and Sector 4 OPHK, and to formally introduce himself as the new Head of Sub-Delegation of ICRC in Mubi.
