The Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Miller Dantawaye, stormed the districts of Mabushi, Life Camp, Katampe, and the Kubwa/Bwari axis, rallying residents for a peaceful area council election.
The engagement fora, held in Mabushi and Bwari, drew a broad coalition of stakeholders, including senior police officers, traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, and representatives of tricycle and motorcycle operators.
The sessions provided a rare face-to-face interface between residents and the police leadership, aimed at tightening cooperation and improving service delivery.

Addressing participants, Dantawaye urged leaders to rein in youths and promote restraint as the election season approaches, stressing that “elections are not a do-or-die affair.”
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to inclusive policing, noting that sustainable security hinges on trust, timely intelligence, and active citizen participation.
The tour underscored the FCT Police Command’s bid to pre-empt election-related tensions by embedding dialogue and partnership at the community level, well before the first ballot is cast.
