Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the payment of allowances to police cadets of Delta State origin who recently completed their training at the police academy, as part of efforts to motivate and support young officers entering the police.
The governor announced the approval while receiving the cadets during a courtesy visit in Asaba, on Wednesday, where he congratulated them on the successful completion of their training and described the gesture as a demonstration of his administration’s commitment to security and youth development.
Gov. Oborevwori said passing out from the police academy was a remarkable achievement that reflects discipline, resilience, and dedication to national service, noting that the cadets had chosen a noble but demanding profession.
“As you begin your careers, I urge you to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and respect for the rule of law. Let your conduct inspire confidence in the communities you serve,” the governor said.
He reaffirmed that his administration would continue to support security agencies across the state, adding that Delta State had recorded notable improvements in security in the last two years and would sustain efforts to ensure the protection of lives and property.
