Well-known actor and social commentator Lege Miami has responded to the viral video that purportedly showed President Bola Tinubu collapsing during a ceremonial welcome in Turkey, labeling the footage as fake.
As the video circulated online and raised alarms about the president’s health, Lege Miami took to social media to clarify the situation, asserting that the clip is not authentic.
He stated that the video was created using artificial intelligence and was intentionally spread to mislead Nigerians in light of the upcoming election.
“The president did not fall. That video going around is AI. It was produced by the opposition due to the forthcoming election. Our president did not fall,” he asserted.
His comments quickly generated mixed reactions on social media.

While some social media users disagreed with his assertions and maintained that the video was real, others accused political figures of exploiting misinformation.
The video, which started circulating on Tuesday, showed a moment during an official reception where Tinubu seemed to momentarily lose his balance before quickly regaining his composure.
In response to the controversy, the Presidency also addressed the video, clarifying that Tinubu did not collapse but merely stumbled, emphasizing that it was not a health issue.
The reception reportedly continued without any further interruptions.
