Essien anchored the call for the endorsement on what he described as the visible development strides recorded by the federal and state governments, citing sustained interventions in healthcare, infrastructure and social empowerment under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Gov. Eno’s ARISE Agenda.
The endorsement was made during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting convened by the lawmaker and attended by political leaders, traditional and community leaders, women and youth leaders drawn from across party lines.

They noted that the provision of modern medical equipment and the commissioning of the facility have significantly enhanced access to quality healthcare, especially for women and children.
The forum also lauded Gov. Eno for approving the appointment of a medical superintendent for the hospital, while calling for the deployment of adequate medical personnel to ensure its full and effective operation.
Participants further appreciated Tinubu for appointing an Ibiono Ibom indigene, Senator Ita Enang, as Nigeria’s ambassador-designate, while acknowledging Gov. Eno’s support for the nomination.
