Governor Siminalayi Fubara has finally found his way into the bossom of the recalcitrant state House of Assembly as the Minority Leader and member representing Omuma State Constituency Sylvanus Nwankwo and Peter Abbey (Degema Constituency) have opted out of the impeachment plot.

It was gathered that the duo who were central figures in the first impeachment attempt against Gov. Fubara and the Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, have called on their colleagues to withdraw the impeachment notices issued on Thursday, 8 January 2026.
