A divisional police officer in Delta State, CSP Joseph Udoh, has lost his position for wrongfully accusing a Good Samaritan of murder.
Udoh was the divisional police officer of the GRA Police Station in Asaba, the Delta State capital, before he was removed from office, after being found guilty following an investigation.
Announcing the disciplinary action taken against Udoh, the state police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, on his X handle, said that the senior police officer had been disciplined, and removed from his duty post.
Also. Edafe revealed that the money extorted from the Good Samaritan by Udoh had been refunded to the victim’s family.

The incident came to light after a man named Tomi Wojuola shared his experience on social media, recounting how he almost became a murder suspect.
Wojuola narrated that he discovered a man who had collapsed on the street and quickly took him to the hospital in an effort to save his life.
Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries and died.
When Wojuola went to the police station to report the incident, Udoh accused him of murder, threatened him, and extorted money from him.
He expressed relief that he managed to avoid severe legal consequences despite the false accusations.
