Foremost political and community leader, Itiako Ikpokpo, has been conferred with the traditional chieftaincy title of Obruthe (Peacemaker) of Ozoro Kingdom by the monarch of Ozoro Kingdom in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Anthony Uvietobore Ogbogbo (Ibuka I).
The conferment ceremony, which took place on Saturday, December 27, was a major highlight of the three-day activities marking the Ozoro Kingdom Day celebration.
Ikpokpo, fondly known as Malik, is the managing director of Dunamis Group and the clan spokesperson of Irri Kingdom.
A day earlier, on December 26, he had paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom, accompanied by chiefs and associates.
During the visit, Ikpokpo congratulated the monarch and the people of Ozoro Kingdom on the successful hosting of Ozoro Day and expressed deep appreciation to the traditional ruler for considering him worthy of the prestigious chieftaincy honour.

Responding, the monarch described Ikpokpo as a man of integrity and a long-standing, trusted personal friend of and the Ozoro Kingdom.
He explained that the decision to bestow the title was based on Ikpokpo’s exceptional leadership qualities and his consistent commitment to peace, unity and development in Ozoro Kingdom and the wider Isoko Nation.
The monarch further commended his notable contributions during and after his tenure as chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, stressing that his actions have continued to foster harmony and progress across the region.
