Tragedy struck the Kano State House of Assembly on Wednesday as two serving lawmakers died within minutes of each other, plunging the state’s political class into shock and mourning.
Aminu Sa’adu, who represented Ungogo Constituency, reportedly fell ill shortly after arriving at the state House of Assembly complex earlier in the day.
He was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical attention but was later pronounced dead by doctors.
Barely minutes after news of Sa’adu’s death filtered out, another devastating report emerged with the passing of Sarki Aliyu Daneji, the lawmaker representing Kano Municipal Local Government Area.
