Super Eagles player, Victor Boniface and skit maker-singer Carter Efe had a heated argument during a livestream hosted by Efe, which has generated significant buzz on social media.
The dispute focused on Wizkid’s contribution to Efe’s rise to fame, especially after their successful collaboration that topped the charts.
During the livestream, Boniface accused Efe of being ungrateful and downplaying Wizkid’s impact on his success.
“You say Wizkid doesn’t notice you, but what did you gain from that song?” Boniface remarked, emphasizing that the collaboration was crucial for Efe’s breakthrough.
“You performed someone else’s song, and it took you to number one. Now, you’re speaking nonsense about him.”
Efe strongly defended himself, calling Boniface’s remarks unnecessary and disrespectful. “What kind of talk is that? Boniface, don’t say things like that,” he replied, brushing off the footballer’s criticism.

The argument intensified as Boniface labeled Efe a “double backstabber,” while Efe retorted that Boniface was merely trying to grab Wizkid’s attention.
“You can talk like this from now until tomorrow, but Wizkid won’t pay you any mind,” Efe stated.
Boniface, however, insisted that Wizkid’s approval didn’t matter to him, saying, “it doesn’t concern me!”
The live exchange has since gone viral, with fans split on who is in the right, reigniting discussions about gratitude, collaborations, and respect in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
