As part of activities marking the Christmas season, the member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, Rep. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, has commenced the distribution of Christmas relief materials across Isoko Nation, beginning with widows and indigent persons.

The exercise was held on Tuesday at the lawmaker’s country home in Erawha-Owhe, Delta State, where bags of rice and wrappers were distributed to widows and other vulnerable members of the constituency.

The initiative is designed to share the joy of the season, reduce the financial pressure associated with Christmas, and ensure that vulnerable persons are not left out of the celebrations.

Speaking on behalf of Rep. Ukodhiko, his Special Assistant, Pastor Sunny Elueni, said the outreach aligns with the lawmaker’s commitment to supporting the Renewed Hope for More Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, as well as the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor,, Sheriff Oborevwori.

Pastor Elueni disclosed that a total of 984 beneficiaries comprising widows and indigent persons were drawn from the 24 federal wards of the constituency, with 41 beneficiaries selected from each ward.

He noted that the Erawha-Owhe exercise marked the first phase of a broader constituency-wide Christmas outreach programme.

He added that the distribution would continue on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, when 100 beneficiaries from each ward across the constituency would receive bags of rice and wrappers, underscoring Rep. Ukodhiko’s dedication to inclusive welfare and compassionate leadership.

Delta South Coordinator of the Widows Welfare Scheme and Executive Assistant to the governor of Delta State on New Media, Felix Ofou, praised Rep. Ukodhiko for his unwavering concern for the welfare of widows and the less privileged.

According to him, the lawmaker’s gesture exemplifies the true meaning of Christmas, as it brings hope and relief to widows and indigent persons across the constituency.

He described Rep. Ukodhiko as someone God is using to provide comfort and reassurance to widows, urging beneficiaries to continually pray for the lawmaker to enable him do even more for the people.

Several beneficiaries, who spoke separately, expressed appreciation to Rep. Ukodhiko for the timely support, describing it as a significant relief that would ease their burden during the festive period.

The Christmas relief distribution is part of Rep. Ukodhiko’s ongoing humanitarian and constituency-focused interventions, reflecting his commitment to people-oriented representation, social responsibility, and inclusive development across Isoko North and Isoko South Federal Constituency.
