Popular social media activist Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has weighed into the growing controversy surrounding the reported arrest of Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and her ongoing dispute with Lagos-based pastor Chris Okafor.
VDM revealed that he spoke with Ogala shortly before her arrest, saying the conversation left him deeply troubled. According to him, he decided to call the actress out of concern, as he had a strong feeling that her situation was heading in a dangerous direction.
He said he cautioned Ogala during the call, advising her to tread carefully and be fully open about any claims she intended to make. VDM explained that partial disclosures could expose her to serious risk, adding that his intuition told him something unpleasant was imminent.
Ogala, he claimed, defended herself during the conversation and insisted she had concrete evidence to back up her allegations against Pastor Chris Okafor. She reportedly expressed fear for her safety, telling VDM that she was uncertain about what might happen to her the following day. She also assured him that she would forward all the evidence in her possession.
In a follow-up video shared online, VeryDarkMan said the actress kept her promise and sent him documents and other materials to support her claims. He raised the alarm that her arrest might be an attempt to wipe sensitive information from her phone, describing the situation as troubling and suspicious.

VDM issued a direct warning to Pastor Chris Okafor and another individual identified as Jeremiah, stating that he would not remain silent if Ogala was not released. He claimed that after their conversation earlier in the day, Ogala sent him all the evidence she had, and he believes those behind her arrest may be trying to destroy it.
He warned that if Doris Ogala does not return home by Tuesday, he would release the evidence on social media for the public to see, insisting that he would act to protect her voice if she is silenced.
Reports indicate that Doris Ogala was arrested on Saturday evening, December 20, 2024, while taking part in a live online broadcast. The livestream reportedly ended abruptly after security operatives arrived at her residence. During the broadcast, the interviewer was heard asking if the police were in her house, to which Ogala responded that officers were indeed present.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Pastor Chris Okafor nor the police have issued an official statement on the arrest, while public interest in the case continues to grow across social media platforms.
