On Saturday, President Bola Tinubu arrived in Maiduguri, Borno, to launch significant development projects and participate in the wedding of Sadeeq Sheriff, the son of former state Governor Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff.
He was welcomed by Borno Governor Babagana Zulum, Katsina Governor Dikko Radda, Adamawa Governor Amadu Fintiri, Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and other high-ranking officials.
Shortly upon his arrival, Tinubu inaugurated the newly expanded airport and its VIP section, which are designed to enhance air transport services and improve passenger experience in the region.

The president is also set to launch additional major projects undertaken by the Borno Government in the transportation and education sectors.
Later, Tinubu will attend the Nikkah and wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
Following his visit to Maiduguri, the president plans to travel to Bauchi State to express condolences to the state government and the family of the late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi.
