The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has announced that sunny and hazy weather is expected across the country from Sunday to Tuesday.
In its weather forecast released on Sunday in Abuja, NiMet indicated that the northern region will experience sunny and hazy conditions during this period.
The forecast also mentioned that a slight dust haze is likely to persist over the central region throughout the forecast period.
In the southern region, NiMet expects a cloudy atmosphere with some sunshine in the morning.
Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated in parts of Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, Lagos, and Akwa Ibom states in the south.
On Monday, the agency predicts a moderate dust haze over the northern region for the entire day, while a slight dust haze is expected in the central region.

The southern region will likely see a cloudy atmosphere with a few hours of sunshine, along with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms in parts of Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Rivers States during the morning.
Later in the day, a cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is expected in the south.
For Tuesday, NiMet forecasts a continued moderate dust haze in the northern region and a sunny, hazy atmosphere in the central region throughout the day.
In the southern region, a cloudy atmosphere is expected in the morning, with isolated thunderstorms and light rains predicted in parts of Anambra, Imo, Ogun, Ondo, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Lagos, Delta, and Rivers States.
NiMet advises the public to take necessary precautions due to the presence of dust particles in the northern region.
Individuals with asthma or other respiratory issues should be particularly cautious of the current weather conditions.
Additionally, driving in the rain should be approached with care.
