Project Victory Call Nigeria (PVC-Naija) has announced the winners of its 2025 annual civic awards tagged: A Nite 4 Naija, with Governors Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State and Alex Otti of Abia State, alongside Senators Enyinnaya Abaribe and Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, emerging as top awardees.

The organisers disclosed that the winners were produced through a college-style election conducted on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, involving a select electoral college made up of civic leaders, policy analysts, journalists, youth advocates and other public voices.

PVC-Naija said Gov. Eno was named Governor of the Year, while Gov. Otti clinched the Political Icon of the Year award.

Senator Abaribe emerged Senator of the Year, and Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan won the Iconic Political Voice of the People award.

The awards ceremony with the theme: “Reawakening the Nigerian Spirit,” is scheduled to hold on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, from 3pm.

PVC-Naija said Gov. Eno’s emergence as Governor of the Year, reflects national recognition of his governance model anchored on security, education and agriculture.

In one of the most closely watched categories, Sen. Akpoti-Uduaghan defeated former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, by seven votes to three to secure the Political Iconic Voice of the People award, underscoring her rising national profile and influence.

Similarly, Sen. Abaribe edged Senator Francis Fadahunsi by six votes to four to win the Senator of the Year award, with the organisers citing his “consistent courage, legislative independence and principled defence of democratic accountability.”

Other winners announced include Senator Adamu Aliero as Best FCT Senator since 1978; Senator Abdullaziz Yari as Chief Steward of the Nation; and Rep. Yusuf Gagdi as Representative of the Year.

Bishop Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe of the Makurdi Diocese was named Conscience of the Nation, while Hannatu Musawa emerged Minister of the Year.

Gabriel Dewan won State House of Assembly Speaker of the Year, and the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Kemi Nana Nandap, was named Paramilitary/Agency Head of the Year.

Others include the late Obadiah Mailafia as National Political Icon of the Decade; Aôndona Dajoh as Legislator of the Year; Akinola Idowu as Local Government Chairman of the Year; and Prof. Omojuwa as Iconic Advocacy Voice of the Year.

PVC-Naija also conferred Lifetime Honours on General T.Y. Danjuma (Elder Statesman, Living) and the late Chief Cornelius Adebayo (Elder Statesman, Posthumous).

In addition, Apostle Wole Oladiyun was named Nation Builder of the Year by consensus in recognition of his 10,000-medical-outreach initiative, which provided free life-saving surgeries across the country.

Speaking on the process, PVC-Naija said its awards are driven by “patriotic rigour” and focus on measurable impact, institutional growth and commitment to the public good, rather than political connections or media popularity.

The organisation added that the transparent balloting process and public release of scores were aimed at resetting standards for credible civic recognition in Nigeria.
