Asake spoke about the bond behind the project and described their working relationship as genuine and rooted in long hours spent together in the studio. His previous collaboration with Wizkid on MMS from the 2024 album Lungu Boy set the tone for this new chapter.
REAL (Vol. 1) is positioned to blend Wizkid’s polished Afropop sound with Asake’s bold, choir-shaped style, creating a record that may draw wide attention as the year winds down.
