Elder statesman, philanthropist, and business magnate, Muhammadu Indimi has announced plans to facilitate fresh private investment in Borno State.
He made the pledge on Tuesday when Governor Babagana Zulum led a delegation to his residence in Maiduguri.
The visit was organized to appreciate Indimi for his recent donation of N2 billion to the University of Maiduguri, announced over the weekend.
During the meeting, Indimi revealed that he has been in discussions with a network of domestic and international investors, many of whom have expressed interest in exploring opportunities in Borno State.
“Your Excellency, I am very deeply touched by this honour from Borno. I did everything because I love my state. Your Excellency, you are doing a great job.

“Even yesterday, I received guests from Switzerland, and I am so proud because right now, Maiduguri is one of the beautiful cities in Nigeria,” Indimi said.
He added that several investors were already preparing to visit the state.
“We are ready to support. Already, I have so many people who want to come and invest. Soon, you will start seeing people coming to you at the Government House,” he said.
Indimi also announced plans to support improvements in the state’s educational and healthcare infrastructure, including contributions to Kashim Ibrahim University in Maiduguri and the new Teaching Hospital still under construction.
Gov. Zulum, in his remarks, applauded Indimi for his longstanding commitment to advancing education and development, not only in Borno but across the country.
