Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Lau Local Government Council of Taraba State have declared their support for the candidacy of Abdulhadi Lau for the position of state chairman of the party.
The group described Lau as a leader with “vision, experience, and dedication,” expressing confidence that his emergence would strengthen the party and enhance unity, progress, and development across Taraba State.
Led by Smith Nicolas, the stakeholders, who converged at the multi-purpose hall of Patient Event Center in Jalingo, highlighted Lau’s extensive public service record, including his tenure as chairman of Lau Local Government, former chairman of the state polytechnic governing board, and a two-time commissioner.
The stakeholders asserted that Lau’s leadership will not only strengthen APC structures ahead of the 2027 general election but will promote unity and inclusiveness within the party.

The group called on all APC members across Taraba State to rally behind the aspirant, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the party to greater success.
Supporting Nicolas’ position, a stakeholder of the party, Emmanuel George, urged the current leadership of the party in the state to ensure a level playing field for all the aspirants seeking to be elected as the party’s state chairman.
When reached for comment, Lau, who noted that the only option available for him is to heed the call of the people, said if given the opportunity, he will leave no stone unturned in order to catapult the party to greater heights.
