The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has announced that it has finalized preparations for the concluding phase of the 2025 Nigeria National Volleyball Premier League, set to occur from December 2 – 14, 2025, at the Indoor Sports Hall of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
This final phase, organized with the support of the controller-general of customs, will showcase the top men’s and women’s volleyball clubs from across the nation as they vie for national honours, ranking points, and the coveted Premier League title.
Federation officials anticipate that the 2025 edition will be the most competitive in recent years.
During a press conference ahead of the event, the NVBF President, Musa Nimrod, expressed confidence in the high level of play expected at the finals, highlighting that the league reflects the sport’s expanding structure and growing fan base across the country.
He noted that ongoing improvements in club management and athletes development have bolstered the domestic volleyball landscape.
Chairman of the League Management Committee, Tanimu Adamu, confirmed that all logistical, technical, and venue arrangements have been completed to ensure a smooth championship.

He emphasized that the final phase is not just about competing for titles but also a celebration of discipline, teamwork, and the resilience of Nigerian athletes.
“The NVBF is dedicated to promoting volleyball in Nigeria, and this year’s Premier League final phase exemplifies that commitment.
“We are grateful for the unwavering support of the controller-general of customs and all our partners for their contributions to athlete development and the advancement of national sports,” he stated.
With preparations now complete, the federation assures teams, officials, and spectators of a safe, well-organized, and unforgettable championship.
The first phase of the men’s and women’s volleyball championship took place in October 2025, generating significant credibility both within Nigeria and beyond.
