The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has announced that the weather will feature sunshine and haziness from Monday to Wednesday across the nation.
In a weather outlook shared on X on Sunday, NiMet predicted clear skies for the entire northern region throughout Monday.
The central region is also expected to experience sunny weather with some cloud cover.
In the southern region, a cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is anticipated, along with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms in parts of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Cross River States during the afternoon to evening.
On Tuesday, NiMet forecasts dust haze over Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Borno, and Yobe States throughout the day, while sunny skies with some clouds are expected in the central region.
In the southern region, cloudy skies are predicted with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms in parts of Cross River State in the morning.
Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are expected in parts of Delta, Ogun, Ondo, Lagos, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River States.
On Wednesday, dust haze is again predicted for the northern region throughout the day, while the central region will see a sunny and hazy atmosphere.

In the southern region, cloudy conditions are expected in the morning, with isolated thunderstorms and moderate rain anticipated later in the day across various states, including Lagos, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers States.
NiMet has advised the public to exercise caution while driving during rainfall and to take necessary precautions due to suspended dust particles in the northern region.
Individuals with asthma and other respiratory issues should be particularly aware of the weather conditions.
Airline operators are encouraged to obtain airport-specific weather reports from NiMet for effective operational planning, and residents are urged to stay updated with weather information from NiMet.
