The Anambra State Police Command says it has recovered the bodies of two Cameroonian women earlier declared missing after a suspected kidnapping incident.
Police spokesman SP Ikenga Tochukwu said the remains of Mrs. Bognou Alice and her niece, Sandra, were discovered in the Omambala River by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, working with local divers.

Two suspects, brothers Nonso Augustine Akpeh, 37, and Kingsley Akpeh, 44, have been arrested, while a third suspect, Uchenna Nicholas Mmadu, is still being hunted by police.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, extended condolences to the bereaved families and directed investigators to intensify efforts to locate the remaining victim and unravel the full circumstances surrounding the crime.
