The widow of the late famous musician Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, known as Mohbad, has taken legal steps to protect his estate from unauthorized claims. She has submitted an official notice to the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja to assert her rights.
In a letter dated November 19, 2025, filed through her attorneys, Salawu, Akingbolu & Co., and signed by I. P. Awo (Esq.), Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, the widow, informed the Probate Registrar that she had already completed Forms 5 and 6, which are intended to prevent the issuance of Letters of Administration to anyone other than the rightful beneficiaries.
This filing also formally recognized her as Mohbad’s legal wife and the mother of his only surviving child, Master Liam Aloba, thereby affirming her legal claim to the estate.

Furthermore, she arranged for public notices to be published in two prominent national newspapers in November 2025 to deter any fraudulent or unauthorized attempts to claim or interfere with the estate.
Her legal team stressed that these notices are documented and maintained in court records and must be honored until the estate is properly and lawfully administered. The widow expressed her confidence that no irregular or illegitimate claims will be considered, given her position as the lawful wife and mother of the deceased’s sole child, until the estate is fully resolved according to legal protocols.
