Tension gripped the Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday evening after terrorists launched a violent assault, abducting a pregnant woman, several children, two nursing mothers, and others.

Isapa is located near Eruku, another community that recently experienced a similar violent raid.

Reports said the attack occurred around 6 pm on November 24, 2025, when between 20 and 30 armed bandits invaded the area, herding a large group of cattle while firing indiscriminately.

An elderly woman was hit by a stray bullet during the invasion.

A community leader confirmed that 11 individuals were taken, including seven members of the same family.

The abducted individuals include a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers, and several minors.

The victims have been identified as Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat (housewife), Fatima Yusufu (housewife), Sarah Sunday (pregnant woman), Lami Fidelis (nursing mother), and Haja Na Allah.

Residents reported that the attackers moved through various parts of the town, leaving bullet holes in walls and doors.

Spent AK-47 shells were discovered throughout the community after the gunmen retreated.
