It was a scary moment for passengers of an Enugu Air flight when the aircraft experienced a nose-landing gear fault while arriving at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, from Lagos.
A statement by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said that the incident occurred at about 19:10 hrs yesterday, Thursday, November 20, 2025, as the aircraft, with registration number SN-BZN, landed on runway eight and became immobile shortly afterward.
The statement signed by FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, said that emergency response teams were immediately mobilised to the scene to ensure the safety of passengers and secure the aerodrome.

“FAAN’s airport emergency resources, including fire tenders and medical standby, were deployed as standard procedure.
“All passengers and crew were safely disembarked and evacuated to the terminal, using the Apron buses. Evacuation was completed without injury and concluded at 19:48 hrs,” FAAN said.
The incident comes barely four months after Festus Keyamo, minister of aviation and aerospace development, inaugurated the state-owned Enugu Air and announced that regional flight operations would begin soon.
