The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed his condemnation of the recent assault on churchgoers in Eruku Town, located in the Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the emir’s Press Secretary, Abdulazeez Arowona, conveyed that Sulu-Gambari is deeply troubled by the incident, labeling it as “highly condemnable and concerning.”
The emir noted with sadness that the attack took place despite ongoing governmental efforts to combat banditry, terrorism, and other forms of crime.

He urged security forces to enhance their efforts to ensure the safe return of those who have been kidnapped and expressed his condolences for the victims who lost their lives during the attack.
The emir also prayed for the Almighty Allah to grant peace to the souls of the deceased and provide comfort to their families.
The state police command confirmed on Tuesday that suspected bandits had killed at least two individuals and injured one during the incident.
