The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has instructed shortlisted candidates for the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) to log in 30 minutes before the start time each day.

This guidance was issued in a statement by the board’s Secretary, retired Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril, on Wednesday in Abuja.

Jibril explained that the online CBT phase for the recruitment, beginning today (Wednesday), will run until next week, with daily exams starting at 9:00 am.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the participating paramilitary agencies include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

The secretary said only candidates with assigned exam schedules will be allowed to log in, as the portal opens 30 minutes before each exam.

“To access the exam, candidates should log into the board’s portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng at their scheduled exam time.

“They must complete the photo verification and wait in the virtual waiting room until the exam begins automatically at the designated time,” he said.

He further advised candidates to thoroughly review and follow the examination rules to prevent disqualification.

“The system is equipped to monitor and detect malpractices, third-party interference, and device manipulation.

“The CBT will be proctored by A.I. throughout the session. Candidates should ensure a stable internet connection, reliable power supply, and a suitable device, preferably a laptop.

“While mobile phones and tablets are allowed, disruptions such as calls or switching applications will generate violation alerts. Repeated violations could lead to immediate failure.

“Candidates disconnected after starting can rejoin within the allotted time and resume from where they stopped,” the secretary revealed.
