X users react after Ozioma Okonkwo, who was detained in Enugu State, on October 25, 2025, after his wife, Chisom Okonkwo, accused him of sexually abusing their daughters, aged two and five, amid a marital dispute, was exonerated of the claims.
Subsequent medical exams found no evidence of abuse, resulting in his release.
Chisom faces charges of defamation and providing false information to police under Enugu State law.
@Adamtgalith commented that “last month, this man was falsely accused by his wife due to domestic issues, claiming he raped their daughters.
“Medical tests later showed the girls had not been abused by their father, contrary to the wife’s accusations.
“Now, she has been charged in court for defamation.

“Like many, I initially condemned him when the story broke on the 27th of last month. I made harsh remarks, believing what I heard. Now, I regret that.
“I withdraw all negative comments about him, and I pray Allah forgives my haste and poor judgment.”

He also said his wife should pay him N2 billion for character defamation.
