President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the government and citizens of Kenya following the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
In a statement released by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday, Tinubu praised Odinga as a prominent figure in African politics, whose lifelong dedication to democracy, justice, and national unity has left a significant impact on both Kenya and the continent.
He highlighted Odinga’s bravery in challenging difficult circumstances, his determination in advocating for electoral reforms, and his steadfast belief in the power of the people, which will continue to inspire future generations.
Tinubu also acknowledged that, as a respected statesman and freedom fighter, Odinga represented the essence of Pan-Africanism and was a strong proponent of inclusive governance and regional collaboration.
