Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to focus on the development of Bauchi State and the wider Northern region.
During the Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit on Wednesday, where Vice President Kashim Shettima represented President Tinubu, Zulum encouraged investors and the Federal Government to take advantage of the summit to foster economic growth throughout the North.
“I call on all attendees and investors to utilize this summit to advance Bauchi State — and Nigeria as a whole,” Zulum remarked.

The governor also took the opportunity to praise former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his groundbreaking contributions to Nigeria’s agricultural sector, recalling the significant impact of Obasanjo’s policies from his time as a military leader.
“I still remember, back in primary school, the agricultural revolution initiated by President Obasanjo. His investments, particularly in Ota Farm, stand as a testament to his lasting impact on Nigeria’s food security,” Zulum noted.
The event, which drew key government officials, diplomats, and business leaders, aimed to explore investment opportunities in Northern Nigeria through agriculture and industrialization.
