This decision will be in effect for one month.
The governor made this announcement during an event in Lokoja on Tuesday, explaining that the move is necessary due to security concerns in these areas.
Intelligence reports suggested that the trailer parks may be used by criminals posing as truck drivers, which poses a threat to the community’s safety.
To ensure the safety of residents, Gov. Ododo has given trailer operators at these parks a month to relocate. After this period, they must leave the area, especially during hours when movement is restricted.

The governor also instructed security forces to strictly enforce this order to prevent criminals from finding shelter and to boost overall security in the state.
“Together, we will build a Kogi where good health is a right, not a privilege; where security is guaranteed, and where every resident has a fair chance to live, work, and prosper,” Gov. Ododo said.
