Pandemonium has gripped Umuebu community in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State following the brutal murder of a Pastor identified as Oputeh Monday, who was found beheaded on his way to the farm.
The 52-year-old cleric had set out early in the morning for his farmland along the Amai/Umuebu road, asking his children to join him later with a motorcycle.
However, tragedy struck when his son, Joshua Oputeh, 26, and other family members, while heading to meet him, heard gunshots. On rushing into the bush, they were confronted with the horrifying sight of his lifeless body, decapitated.

Police operatives from the Obiaruku Division arrived at the scene, evacuated the body, and deposited it at Medisar Mortuary, Obiaruku, for preservation and autopsy.
Confirming the incident on monday, the Delta State Police Command said investigations had begun into the gruesome murder while assuring that patrols had been intensified in the area to forestall further unrest.
