“We will continue to support the contractors and ensure that they deliver the quality project to improve the lives of Edo people.

“The money is working for Edo people. We want the project completed at a record time to show Edo people the difference between the PDP and the APC, which is a progressive party.

“We are leaving here to inspect other project sites in the State. We must work for Edo people because we are elected to do so.”

The inspection began from Uteh Road, passed through Palace Road and Upper Mission Extension, and climaxed at the Ramat Park flyover.

Cheered on by residents, traders, and commuters along the route, the governor made several stops to inspect side drains and sought clarifications on technical grey areas.

Providing technical insight, Special Adviser on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Mrs Phoebe Williams disclosed that 60 percent of the work has already been completed, with the contractor set to deliver the project ahead of schedule.

“We have started the retaining walls for the sholder, when the projects is done we will be having three lanes here, including the sholder, access convert to carry drainage which is ongoing and by the end of the raining season the pavement work will start as the contractor is doing well with 60 per cent work already done,” she said.
