A 42-year-old man, Kelechukwu Onuka, who resides in Aratunsi area of Akure, the State capital has reportedly killed his wife, Nnena over N10 million deposited in her account.
According to sources, the money was deposited in the wife’s account by her sister for a building project.
The husband was said to have got to know about the money in her wife’s account through another person which made him confront her.
During the quarrel, Onuka allegedly hit his wife with an object on the head and she gave up the ghost instantly.
Neighbours who do not want their names on print said they called the police after the husband begged them to help carry his wife to the hospital.

One of the neighbours who could not ascertain what led to the fight that caused the woman’s death said the couple always had arguments but settled it between themselves.
However, the neighbour said they were hearing the couple’s voices fighting but suddenly went silent only to find the man trying to revive the lady after striking her with an object.
Confirming the incident, Ondo State Police Spokesperson, Mrs Fumilayo Odunlami said it was a case of domestic violence.
She said full investigation had commenced.
