A boat mishap along the Bonny River in Rivers State has claimed the lives of three persons .
It was gathered that the boat with 22 passengers on board was traveling from Port Harcourt to Bonny, when it capsized mid-river on Monday.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent, said two bodies have been recovered, while efforts were on to recover the third person who she said is a child.

She said the state Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju has despatched personnel from the marine unit of the command to the scene to hasten recue efforts.
Iringe-Koko said investigation was still ongoing to unravel the cause of the accident.
