The House of Representatives member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has met with women leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), towards mobilizing more women to support the Governor of Delta State, Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The House of Representatives member, said that while it’s imperative to thank the PDP women leaders for their continued support to the governor in Isoko land, the meeting was crucial in order to form a formidable party structure that will garner more support for the governor’s re-election in 2027.
He stated that the PDP in Isoko land is getting more stronger as the leadership and political class are becoming more united by the day, urging the women leaders to preach unity and peace in their respective wards in Isoko North and Isoko South Local Government Areas, respectively.
Rep. Ukodhiko enjoined the PDP women leaders “to return to their various wards, work in unity with the leadership to bring our people together so that in the next election, we can turn out more votes for the governor and our party, the PDP in 2027.
“You have the capacity to bring out more votes for our Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, who is our dear son-in-law having married our daughter from Iyede, Deaconess Tobore, the first lady of the state.”
The lawmaker also reminded the PDP women leaders about the many laudable projects the governor had sited in Isoko land, pointing out that “the governor is building on the legacy of the previous PDP-led government headed by the immediate past Governor of the state, Ifeanyi Okowa. He has also given many employments to our teeming youths and graduates.

So, do not be afraid my dear women leaders. Let us all come together and make our party stronger ahead of the 2027 elections.”
Responding, Mrs. Endurance Ibru and Chief Fome Odunwa, the women leaders of Isoko North and Isoko South chapters of the PDP, lauded Gov. Oborevwori for his empowering the women of the state and called on him to do more for the women.
The PDP women leaders assured Rep. Ukodhiko of their unwavering support for Gov. Oborevwori and the PDP, promising to storm their various wards to work harder at mobilising more Isoko women to support the governor’s second term bid.
