The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has urged members of the Kwankwasiyya movement and his political supporters to remain steadfast in their collective goals.
Kwankwaso made the appeal on Monday while receiving a large number of supporters and political associates at his Kano residence during the annual Sallah homage.
In a message shared via his verified X account, the former Kano State governor stressed the importance of loyalty, unity, and sustained engagement in advancing the movement’s ideals.
He also recognised the attendance of several prominent figures, including Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo, as well as federal and state lawmakers.
The NNPP leader further acknowledged the presence of the party’s national leadership, led by the National Chairman, Ahmed Ajuji, alongside Bishop Isaac Idahosa.

He noted that key members of the African Democratic Congress (ADP) in Kano, including Naja’atu Muhammad and Musa Ungogo, were also in attendance.
Kwankwaso added that the event was further enlivened by the presence of notable political figures such as Peter Obi, Governor Seyi Makinde, and Sen. Seriake Dickson.
Describing the Sallah homage as a long-standing tradition of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, he expressed appreciation for the massive turnout, noting that it reflected unity and commitment among members.
He thanked supporters for honouring the invitation, stating that their presence contributed significantly to the success of the gathering.
Kwankwaso also commended entertainers and event organisers for their roles in making the occasion memorable, praising their dedication to sustaining the vibrancy of the movement.
