A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okpe-Isoko, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Enifoghale Oyede has said that the party is waxing stronger following the defections to the party, and is now in a stronger position to win future elections in the state.
Oyede, who stated this in an interview, noted that the influx of members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to APC in the state is a clear indication that Deltans are angry with the way they are being governed by the PDP- led state government, hence the spate of defections.
“I was in PDP for years, but left and I don’t want to talk about the reason some of us left the PDP. But, I am glad some of them have seen why we left and they are coming to join us in the APC.
“I like to speak to you about the fabulous influx of PDP members to the APC in Delta State. This is an indication that Deltans are tired of how things are being run in the state and they’ve reposed confidence in the President Tinubu -led administration at the federal level and his policies.

“I am therefore, appealing to every leader of the APC across board in Delta State to ensure that they come together in unity and work towards how our party the APC can take over Delta State Government House come 2027.
“We shouldn’t be carried away by the influx of members from the PDP to APC. This is the right time to work, canvassing for support for our party and the Tinubu administration.
“As leaders and party faithful, this is the right time to unite together putting all differences aside and ensuring that the new members are all given equal rights and carried along in all party activities, so that we can gain more ground in the state,” he said.
