A former Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State chapter and South-West geo-political zone, Peter Anosike, has described the technical committee mandated to ensure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State in 2027 as a waste of time.
The committee, made up of former lawmakers and political appointees who served in the administrations of Orji Uzor Kalu, Theodore Orji, and Okezie Ikpeazu, was inaugurated in Umuahia last Saturday.
Speaking while reacting to the committee, Anosike said that “the members of the committee should be ashamed of themselves for trying to stop the light that is currently shining in Abia State.”
According to him, what Governors Orji Uzor Kalu, Theodore Orji and Okezie Ikpeazu could not do in 24 years, Governor Alex Otti has done in only two years.
He said that the years of the three former governors were years of the locust in Abia State.
According to Anosike, it was only when Alex Otti became governor that the state began to witness development and improvement.
His words: “I want to say without mincing words that the committee that was inaugurated last Saturday in Umuahia by the association of failed governors is nothing but agents of darkness at work and in play.

“For 24 years when those governors were in power, the state witnessed no iota of development. It was under the administration of Theodore Orji that Arthur Eze declared that Abia stinks, while Okezie Ikpeazu was noted for celebrating the coming of Quick Service Restaurant to Aba.
“It is these agents of darkness that have come together to quench the light that is currently shining in Abia State.
“All the years that the former governors were in office, those of us who hail from the state were ashamed of being identified with Abia State.
“But under Alex Otti, Abia has become a role model for development for the other states.”
Anosike called on the people of Abia State to continue to support Gov Otti and also be ready to vote for him during the next election.
