Head Coach Justine Madugu has announced a 24-player roster for the upcoming 13th Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), featuring key players such as captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and star forward Asisat Oshoala.
According to him, the Super Falcons are eager to secure their 10th continental title, with some squad members beginning training in Abuja before traveling to Lisbon, Portugal, for final preparations.
The lineup includes notable talents like Ashleigh Plumptre, who plays in Saudi Arabia, and US-based star Michelle Alozie, alongside experienced defender Osinachi Ohale.

Midfielders Deborah Abiodun, Jennifer Echegini, and Christy Ucheibe are also part of the squad, joined by homegrown talent Rachael Unachukwu and defenders Sikiratu Isah and Miracle Usani, as well as returning midfielder Halimatu Ayinde.
To enhance their readiness, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has organized friendly matches against the national teams of Portugal and Ghana.
The Super Falcons will first face Portugal in Lisbon and then take on the Black Queens of Ghana in Morocco on June 29.
The WAFCON is scheduled to run from July 5 to July 26 in Morocco, and with such a strong roster, the Super Falcons are determined to leave a lasting impression on the tournament.
