The 2025 Miss World, Opal Suchata Chuangsri Chungari, has returned to Thailand after proudly winning the title, making history as the country’s first-ever Miss World. Her homecoming was marked by a jubilant reception at Suvarnabhumi Airport, where an enthusiastic crowd gathered to welcome her with cheers, tears, and heartfelt traditional celebrations—an impressive display of national pride and unity.

Accompanying Opal was Julia Morley, CBE, the chairwoman of the Miss World organization. The atmosphere was filled with joy as supporters presented Opal with flowers, applause, and expressions of admiration. The warmth of the Thai people was palpable, reflecting their deep appreciation for her accomplishment.

In her remarks, Opal expressed profound gratitude to the royal family, particularly acknowledging the representative of Her Royal Highness, Khun Siiris C., who was present to congratulate her on this monumental achievement. Opal’s victory is significant not only for her but also for the entire nation, as Thailand has never claimed the Miss World crown in its 74-year history.

This landmark victory also marks a momentous occasion for Brian Macar, the country’s national director since 1980, who celebrated his first triumph after joining forces with the Miss World organization. His dedication and leadership played a crucial role in this historic win for Thailand, demonstrating the power of collaboration and national spirit.

As the celebrations continue, Opal’s journey serves as an inspiration to many, symbolizing not just beauty, but also resilience, talent, and national pride.
